01 / ABOUT THE PLACE

About this place

From hojicha-infused highballs carrying roasted tea aromas to velvety milk cocktails blending matcha and vanilla rum, The Bar Mariage—located on the 4rd floor of a building in Shinjuku 1-chome—serves an inventive lineup of drinks built on thoughtful pairings. Alongside Japanese tea cocktails, the bar features house infusions laced with herbs and spices like shiso, lemongrass, wasabi, and sansho pepper, offering distinct variations on familiar highballs and tonics.

From Dessert-Style Drinks to Craft Gin

For an after-dinner treat, dessert cocktails like a Castella martini, rare cheesecake martini, or frozen wasabi red bean cocktail provide sweet, playful notes. Alongside these confectionery-inspired creations, the bar stocks whiskies focused on single malts, as well as domestic and international craft gins including Niigata's THE HERBALIST YASO GIN. With seasonal fruit cocktails, non-alcoholic selections, and whisked matcha also on hand, orders can easily be tailored to the mood of the evening.

Hearty Bites and Freshly Baked Pizzas

When a more substantial meal is desired alongside drinks, dishes like porcini ravioli in black truffle cream sauce or beef braised in red wine make satisfying options. Shareable pizzas, including a margherita and a quattro formaggi drizzled with domestic honey, are accompanied by cold appetizers like jamón serrano and assorted cheese platters.

Open from 17:00 in the evening until 2:00 late at night (closed Sundays), the bar accommodates reservations and offers both counter and table seating. It serves as a quiet retreat equally suited to winding down after work or dropping by for a relaxed nightcap.
